In the year 237, when Tahir bin Abdullah was ruling in Khorasan, a man from Ahl Bast named Saleh bin Nasr Kanani conquered Sistan and Yaqoob served him. . Tahir, who was a wise man, drove Saleh bin Nasr from Sistan, and after him Darham bin Nasr ( or offering) He went out and captured Sistan and drove away Tahir's troops from Sistan . Durham, who could not handle the troops, appointed Yaqub as the commander of his army . When the soldiers saw the weakness of Darham's command, they welcomed Yaqoob's command .
After some time, the governor of Khorasan captured Durham and sent him to Baghdad, he was imprisoned in Baghdad for a while, then he was released and served the Caliph . It is at this time that Yaqoob's work also increases, he goes to repel the Khawarij . Yaqub, as he was a smart and kind man, all his companions obeyed him in such a way that it was beyond imagination. . After capturing Sistan, Yaqoub turned to Khorasan, but he did not get anything . He went to Khorasan again in 253 . This time he took the cities of Herat and Pushang and from there he went to Kerman and took the position of the governor of Shiraz in Kerman. . After that, he went to Shiraz, fought with the ruler of Fars and won it .
Yaqub again marched to Fars in 257, and Caliph al-Mutamid sent him a message that we have not given you the kingdom of Fars for you to march there. . Al-Mufaq, the brother of Khalifa, who was the owner of the country's privilege, sent a message to Yaqub stating that the provinces of Tarch, Takharistan and Sistan belong to Yaqub. . Yaqub also captured Balkh and came to Kabul, captured the governor of Kabul and captured the city . After that, he went to Herat and from there to Neishabur, he sent Muhammad bin Tahir, the ruler of Khorasan, as a prisoner to Sistan, and from there he went to Tabaristan to fight with Hasan bin Zayd Alavi there. . Hassan was defeated in this war, ran away and went to the land of Dilaman . Yaqub went from Sari to Amol and collected a year's tribute and went to Dillman, on the way many of his soldiers were killed due to rain and he wandered for forty days. . Yaqub sent a message to the caliph stating that he had conquered Tabaristan and isolated Hassan in the hope that he would become the caliph's target. . But the caliph sent an order to Khorasan by pilgrims, that because he rebelled against our order and was not satisfied with the government of Sistan, they would curse him everywhere. . Finally, although he assigned a large part of the army in the border provinces, he took the Persian army to Ahvaz . Al-Mutamid was very scared and softened and gave the administration of the provinces of Khorasan, Tabaristan, Gorgan, Ray and Pars to Yaqub and made him satrap. ( Governor) He knew all of them .
