He, who had his heart in the love of Iran and Iranians, and had witnessed for many days the sorrows and lamentations of his fellow countrymen who are in captivity, decided to kill Omar in retaliation for the oppression of Iranians.. He had a two-edged dagger and that day he hid it under his shawl and came to the mosque. When Umar stood in front of the line of worshipers as the imam of the congregation, Pirouz quickly drew his dagger and struck Umar six times with all his strength..

One of the wounds that was created under his navel was very deep and deadly, and the Caliph of Islam died from the same fatal wound..
